A bit late on this! Part 2 of what I’m thankful for…both silly and serious. Enjoy 🙂
Go bold or go home baby. Transforms you from sleep-deprived Sally to power strutter in a snap! All hail to the geniuses Bobbi Brown, NARS, Naked, Mac, Chanel….sigh…there’s just so much to love. This infatuation runs deep in the family as it is known that it is a rare occasion that our women step out the door without some tint on their lips. A little color never hurt nobody 😉
2) John Legend
So much soul in that voice. With his dreamy lyrics, we can all just live in that bubble of love and believe he’s singing “You and I” to us…personal serenade every morning to work is a must.
I haven’t been able to comprehend the individuals who are content in not exploring the unknown. I get a travel itch about every 3 weeks…and man, it’s becoming expensive. (Conde Nast Traveler, you could make this simpler and just hire me please!) Anyways, there’s an unexplainable, yet enriching, obsession with getting lost in some place new and connecting with the people, the culture, and broadening your horizons on how to live life. We only know what we know and there’s so much yet to be discovered! I think you also gain a deeper appreciation for small things and humanity in general when you are lost in the ghetto of Montreal. Shaking up your equilibrium is necessary for good health. There’s a solo retreat that is in the works and suggestions are highly encouraged!!
Because sometimes you want to talk about feelings and kale, get massages, compare fitness regimens, and complain about dating damn it. Haha. Surrounding yourself with estrogen is a great thing and more women need to empower each other. I have girlfriends who are a few years younger and ones that are 25 years older…and it is just awesome! They are such great sources of support and motivation while all having different perspectives. You need an individual to break you down every now and then and ask those hard questions…then drink vodka with you after ofcourse. 🙂
5) You guys…my readers!
Some of you are my closest friends, some are fellow bloggers I have never met, and the rest of you….who knows! But, it’s an awesome feeling to receive the kind of traffic I have with #PositivityFilter. When I began this blog, I set out to write as an outlet as usual but also with a defined purpose. I wanted to focus on “the good” while writing about topics that I felt others could relate to and perhaps gain something out of. It was a shot in the dark but it is becoming more real every day. Thank you for the encouragement, comments, and follows. If there is anything that you would feel would enhance #PositivityFilter or would like to read about, I would love to hear them. Feel free to leave a comment and happy reading!
